Margarito's return is delayed
Former welterweight champion Antonio Margarito definitely won’t be making his comeback on the March 13 Pacquiao-Clottey card in Dallas. While issues about his relicensing in the USA are being sorted out, it appears “The Tijuana Tornado” will next fight on a May 8 Top Rank PPV show in Aguascalientes, Mexico. Meanwhile, the California State Athletic Commission, is expected to revisit Margarito’s situation at their February 22 meeting. His one year suspension has expired, but the CSAC and the ABC have lobbied against Margarito being relicensed until further hearings take place.
