This is the Line Up for the first round

Brett Flournoy v Danny Butler

Prediction - Danny Butler

Flourney is a late starter not turning pro until the age of 26, now has only had 10 bouts in the last 4 years, he has been easily matched and finally in his first step up in class last time out against former British Champion Kevin McIntyre the fight was stopped prematurely due to the ringside medics were called away to deal with Doncaster boxer Jason Rushton who had collapsed in the dressing room following his last second defeat to Brian Rose. Butler has already got Prizefighter experience he lost a narrow split decision to the eventual winner Martin Murray in the semi final of the middleweight competition. Butler has lost his last two fights against decent opponents Darren Barker, and Darren McDermott whom he lost a very close to. I think if Butler who has competed most of his career at middleweight can make the light middleweight limit fairly comfortably I think he might be a big player and at 5/1 odds he might be worth a bet. Flournoy is unbeaten but i think he might be biting off a bit more than he can chew with Butler, but over the 3 rounds you never know.

Bradley Pryce v Neil Sinclair

Prediction - Bradley Pryce

A tough draw for these guys, many think the winner of this fight could be the eventual winner of the tournament. Pryce has really turned things around in his career, at one stage he lost 6 from 10 fights and looked on the road to nowhere, but he has now won 8 from 9, his only loss coming via a rather surprising knockout loss to Matthew Hall. Neil Sinclair has some ups and downs in his career, he actually holds a win over Bradley Pryce with an 8th round TKO back in 2003, Sinclair looked a little past his best as of late but he is coming off 2 decent wins and in a 3 round fight this could really go either way. Pryce is coming in as the favourite, but don't rule out a big performance from Sinclair.

George Hillyard v Prince Arron

Prediciton - Prince Arron

The two guys in this match were both expected to do great things in boxing, Arron is 6'3" but was stepped up very quickly in his career and after reeling off 4 wins he was paired with 12-0 Anthony Small who crushed him inside 2 rounds, something that it seemed Arron never recovered from, his is unbeaten in his last 5 fights but he limped to a draw against the limited Max Maxwell last time out. Hillyard is the big outsider for the tournament, he is a decent fighter and another who blows very hot and cold, he is better than his 9-4-1 record suggests and if he turns up to win he has a great chance here. This should be a decent contest, I think Arron is the favourite to win but this one could go either way, one thing I can almost guarentee is the winner of the fight will not be the winner of the tournament.

Steve O'Meara v Martin Concepcion

Prediction - Martin Concepcion

7 of the 10 wins O'Meara has achieved so far have been against opponents with a negative record, one was a debuton and the other two had records of 10-9 and 4-2, the actual combined record of all his opponents to date is 53-190-4, so this competition is a huge step up in class for him, he also faces a tough 1st round draw against a man who hasd to win a qualifier to get into the prizefighter when beating Kevin Hammond over the distance only 21 days before this tournament. Concepcion blows very hot and cold, his best win saw him blow out Matthew Hall inside a round, but then went on to be knockout himself by Bradley Pryce in his very next fight. In order for Concepcion to get his rematch with Pryce both guys will need to make the final, it is not impossible but it is unlikely. I think Concepcion will be too experienced for O'Meara never rule out an undefeated fighter but I would be surprised if he is able to make it past the first round.

Probable Semi Final Matches

Hillyard/Arron v Sinclair/Pryce
Flournoy/Butler v O'Meara/Concepcion

My Semi Finals

Prince Arron v Bradley Pryce

Prediction - Bradley Pryce

An interesting fight, if Arron is able to keep Pryce at bay with his massive 4" height advantage we could be in for a decent fight, however I think Pryce will get inside him and will stop him within the 3 rounds.

Danny Butler v Martin Concepcion

Prediction - Danny Butler

By the time this fight takes place Concepcion will probably know that a win here would give him his long awaited rematch with Bradley Pryce, as I said my only real worry for Butler is the weight, if he can make the weight without killing himself he wins this fight on the cards.

Probable Final Match

Bradley Pryce v Danny Butler

Prediction - Danny Butler

A very interesting fight could go either way, Pryce is the favourite and with Gavin Rees winning the last prizefighter the welshman will be desperate to equal his stablemates achievement, this will give him an extra edge but I am going to go against the grain and pick former middleweight Danny Butler to win, my concern is that he might be drained at 154lbs, if he comes in strong he will be tough to beat.

5/2 Bradley Pryce
7/2 Prince Arron, Neil Sinclair
5/1 Danny Butler
7/1 Steve O’Meara
12/1 Martin Concepcion
16/1 Brett Flournoy
25/1 George Hillyard
